ANTIQUE RESTORATION SERVICE
Where quality meets expectations
Svetlana Shchukina is the owner of  Antique Restoration Service in Michigan since 1994.  She represents the third generation of restorers in her family and came to the United States from Moscow, Russia in 1992, where she learned her skills in porcelain restoration from her father. Svetlana Shchukina graduated form the Russian State University for the Humanities (former  Moscow Archive Institute) in 1979, and worked in the State Archives in Moscow. In addition, she apprenticed as a  porcelain restorer at her father's restoration studio. After opening her own business in America in 1994, she joined  American Association of Restorers, (AOR) American Institute for Conservation of Historic  & Artistic Works (AIC), and American Art Pottery Association (APA).
In her restoration works of high quality, Svetlana follows the ethical standards in reversibility and minimal intervention to the original surface of the artifact.

At   Antique Restoration Service  we are not simply looking for a monetary reward,  customer satisfaction with the job  is the main goal of  our business.

Antique Restoration Service offers free estimates. Prices are based on the complexity of the work and the severity of the damage. The value of the item does not affect the price. The same care and skills will be given to the family heirloom or museum  object.  We can perform full (invisible), or partial restoration which will be significantly less expensive and still satisfy you. The estimate can not be made over the phone.  You can  e-mail us a digital picture of the item with measurements and close-ups of the damaged parts. We will contact you promptly.
